Spartan Chinese School (aka Great Lakes Chinese Center) is registered with IRS and Michigan LARA as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. It is operated by the Executive Committee and supervised by the Board of Directors, both volunteer-based since 1992.

Our youth thrive in the local community with high-quality Chinese language education and complementary cultural enrichment experiences.   

 

School Mission

We help children from K-Grade 12 in the local community, especially the heritage language learners, to learn the Chinese language. In addition, we collaborate with other MSU and Greater Lansing Area based organizations to promote Chinese culture and heritage and encourage the understanding between the Chinese and other cultures.
